I am graduating this year, all thanks to the Emmaus program. I am surrounded by amazing people—my classmates and the staff. It is a quiet environment where I can get help with my work, talk to someone if I need to, and take a break if I need it. It’s also a lot of fun. It feels like a family.

We had trepidations at the beginning of the year as we had originally looked at transferring (our daughter) to another school with more programming for children with special needs. (She) does not do well with big changes and struggles with adapting to different environments, especially when her sister is no longer there to provide social support. We were so relieved when the school announced they would be starting a pilot program to assist those students with special needs to help them prepare for the outside world by providing them with the tools they need to become active participants in society…
