Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for clarity as our team prepares the convocation events for the spring. 

  • Please pray for our grade 12 students as they enter a season of diploma exams - for their focused preparation and peace of Christ as they write their exams. 

  • We pray for successful collaboration for our west crosswalk and bus bay at the campus school in Red Deer to improve the safety of our students as they cross the west road and board the bus.

  • We pray for our nation.

  • We pray for our national and provincial leaders. We pray they are guided by the Holy Spirit to make wise, Godly decisions as they govern.

  • We pray for our Education Minister. We pray education leaders, teachers and stakeholders join her in her efforts to improve our education system so students experience truth, beauty, and goodness through their learning experiences.

  • We pray for members of our community. May our work together glorify Christ. (Parents, Students, Board members, Volunteers, Staff, KCES)

  • We pray for our collaborative work with the City of Red Deer and our neighbors to improve the safety of our students as they cross the roads that surround our school.

  • We pray for our applications for new school programs. We pray they will be acceptable to our authorities and that our work will glorify God as we move forward in the next several months to establish programs for the 2022-2023 school year.

Answered Prayers

  • We are thankful for the official, exciting start of our new crosswalk and safety patrol program at our east entrance to the school in Red Deer. This greatly improves the safety of our school community and provides leadership opportunities to students in grades 5-7.

  • We are thankful for a wonderful Gala event at the campus school.

  • We are thankful for the blessing the opportunity to gather in person as a staff and work collaboratively on professional development days.

  • We are thankful for the opportunity for a former Koinonia@Home student to serve on the Minister's Student Council this past year.

  • We are thankful for the government's recent announcement that students in Home Education programs will have access to specialized supports in future and look forward to helping this initiative move forward.

  • We are thankful for the establishment of a new statement of faith for the Alberta Home Education Association last June.
